Three ways to vote in the general election:
Registered voters can apply for a vote-by-mail ballot by following the instructions found at BOSTON.GOV or contacting their County Clerk. Then, VOTE and RETURN your ballot one of the following ways…
You have until 12:00 p.m. the business day before the election to vote in-person.
Early voting for the locations will be open from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on August 30-31, and from at least 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on September 2-5. If voting early, you have until 5PM on September 5, 2025.No appointment is necessary. All early voting locations are accessible to voters with disabilities. Every location will also have AutoMark machines for voters who need help marking their ballots.
No matter where you live in Boston, you can cast your vote at any polling location. All ballot styles will be available at every early voting location.

On September 9th, you can vote in person at your polling place, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
